Breaking Barriers Summer Showcase

On 10th May, 224 children from ten of our schools came together for the Breaking Barriers 2026 Reddam House Annual Summer Showcase, delivering two truly spectacular performances that celebrated talent, teamwork, and creativity.

Students from Caversham, Highdown, The Coombes, Emmer Green, Wilson, Churchend, Hawkedon, Downsway, Park Lane, and Westwood Farm took to the stage with confidence and enthusiasm, showcasing an exciting variety of street dance, acro, and Glee-style performances. Their energy, commitment, and passion shone through in every routine, with both shows receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience throughout.

We are incredibly proud of every student who took part. The hard work, dedication, and courage they demonstrated in preparing for and performing these shows were truly inspiring, and each performer gave their very best on stage.

What made the showcase even more special was the incredible sense of community and support behind the scenes. Students worked together throughout the day, helping one another with quick costume changes, offering words of encouragement, sharing supportive smiles, and celebrating each other’s successes. The kindness, teamwork, and friendships on display perfectly embodied the spirit of Breaking Barriers.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the showcase such a memorable event. It was a wonderful celebration of the talent across our schools, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single student who helped make the day such a success.
